This second generation (F2) Olive Egger is bred from an F1 Olive Egger (Opal Legbar x French feather legged Splash Marans -Four Acorns Farm stock) to an unrelated French feather legged Splash Marans rooster. This breeding produces a gorgeous bird who will lay a medium sized, darker olive green egg.
These Olive Eggers also come in delightful variations in blue or splash. Some will be red heads, others will have whimsical crests, and most will have feathered legs. These are smart, gentle birds and good mothers when they occasionally go broody.
Laying 250+ medium sized, darker olive green eggs/year - often with speckles. Lovely characteristic of these eggs: the inside of the shells are blue!
