F1 Olive Egger
First generation (F1) Olive Egger bred from an Opal Legbar (Candace Waldon stock) to a French feather legged Splash Marans (Cedar Hills/GreenFire Farms/Four Acorns Farm). Produces a bird (often auto-sexing) who lays a medium sized, olive green egg.
These Olive Eggers come in delightful variations of either shades of blue or barred. Some will be red heads, others will have feathered legs, and/or whimsical crests. These are smart, friendly birds and good mothers when they occasionally go broody.
